Official Announcement: Structural Formation and Executive Appointments of the Mandalay Interim Governing Council (MIGC)

In accordance with Article 35 of the Mandalay Region Interim Political Arrangement, the Chairman of the Mandalay Interim Governing Council (MIGC) has officially issued Directive No. (1/2025) on November 28, 2025, detailing the structural establishment and key appointments of the Council and its respective departments.

The executive framework and departmental leadership are organized as follows:

• Executive Leadership:

  • U Myint Aung Moe: Chairman & Department Head (Department of Administrative Affairs)

  • U Aung Myo Latt: Vice-Chairman & Department Head (Department of Defense and Security Affairs)

  • Daw Nway Tamar: Attorney General

  • U Aung Zaw: Department Head (Department of Finance, Revenue, and Resource Management)

  • U Myint: Department Head (Department of Education)

  • U Pyi Sone Aung: Department Head (Department of Youth, Women, and Child Affairs)

  • Daw Aye Myint Aung Aung: Department Head (Department of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement)

  • Dr. Aung Kyaw Oo: Department Head (Department of Health)
