World Teachers' Day is celebrated globally every year on October 5 to honor the dedication, sacrifices, and invaluable contributions of educators to society. Following the 2021 military coup, teachers across Myanmar, including the Mandalay region, joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) in protest. Today, despite facing severe security risks from the military junta, these educators continue to fulfill their teaching responsibilities in resistance-controlled areas and via online platforms to ensure that school-aged children maintain continuous access to education.
